Gushens are enemies in the Mario series, first appearing in Super Mario Odyssey. They are primarily found in the Seaside Kingdom, but they also appear in isolated areas in the Sand Kingdom and the Mushroom Kingdom. When one encounters Mario, they either try to attack him with water or dodge him. They are capturable, and work much like F.L.U.D.D. did in Super Mario Sunshine. Mario can propel himself forward and or launch himself up with water that can damage enemies. Gushens are encased in bubbles of water, and if Mario runs out of water, the Gushen dehydrates and can barely move. They are meant to be used in the Seaside Kingdom boss battle against Mollusque-Lanceur (And the Mushroom Kingdom rematch).
