GyroidCityFolk

A Gyroid from City Folk.

Gyroids are a species found in all Animal Crossing video games. In the early titles, a Gyroid would be placed outside your house and would store objects, sell them and recite messages to other players. They could also be dug up from the ground using the shovel and either placed in your house or sold to Tom Nook for quite a lot of bells. The most basic Gyroid design resembles a wooden creature with an acorn top that wiggles around. When placed in your house, they would dance to the music. After Animal Crossing for the GameCube, Gyroids would be found in Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS and Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii, though they wouldn't be found outside the player's house. In these games, a player could once again dig them up, and in City Folk, a Gyroid named Lloid was also the owner of an auction house.
