Heat Man is a Robot Master created by Dr. Wily. He was first seen in Mega Man 2 as one of the games 8 Robot Masters.

Strategy

Upon entering the room, Heat Man will shoot 3 arching flames. To evade those, run forward then jump over the third flame. This can be done before the flame shots land on the ground. Then as you hit him, he will be enveloped in an impenetrable barrier. Beware of his fire dash. You can avoid it by jumping over it or jumping away from it. As you do one of those, he will stop & toss flame shots again. The best way to prevent him from tossing flames is to shoot him after he does a fire dash. Or an alternative strategy is to attack him when you reach the opposite side of the room after he does a fire dash, but this will take longer to defeat him.

Heat Man is weak against Bubble Lead, which you will get if you defeat Bubble Man beforehand. Use it with strategies above & you can defeat him faster.

In Dr. Wily Stage 4, you will encounter him again for a rematch. Use Bubble Lead to beat him quickly, but use it sparingly as you need it for the final battle with the Alien.

Other Media

Heat Man only appeared in Bro Bots in the cartoon version of Mega Man. Heat Man is red and has a plasma blaster in Captain N and is much taller and only appeared in the 20th episode.

Trivia
