|Hyrule Castle Town|
An early build of the town in Twilight Princess.
|Series||The Legend of Zelda series|
|First game||The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998)|
Hyrule Castle Town is a location found in The Legend of Zelda series. It initially appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64, though would go on to appear in both The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap for the Game Boy Advance and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for both Wii and GameCube. Of course the location also appeared in the various different remakes of Ocarina of Time as well.
Hyrule Castle Town is the primary location and the main community center of Hyrule. Various different races live here including Hylians, Gorons, Minish, and others. It is obviously the most populous location in the video games, and thus multiple side quests will occur here, plenty of shops are present, and the main character (Link) will visit this location many times.
With each new installment, the overall design is different, probably because of the dramatic time differences between each game. Interestingly, Ocarina of Time's Hyrule Castle Town featured no Gorons (despite the fact that they were present in the game), though Twilight Princess, which took about 1,000 years later, did in fact have them.
