Injustice: Gods Among Us is a fighting game featuring characters from DC Comics developed by NetherRealm Studios, the creators of Mortal Kombat, for the Wii U. The game was released in 2013.
The game is said to be "set in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred" and in the debut trailer, many of the superheroes are seen fighting one another as well as various villains.
Confirmed characters include Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Cyborg and Nightwing. Other characters such as Lex Luthor, Captain Cold and the Joker are hinted at in the trailer but have not been completely confirmed. According to Ed Boon, the Creative Director at NetherRealm Studios, the look of the characters has "kind of like a Mortal Kombat twist to it" with many of the characters wearing armor. He also confirmed that characters will have multiple costume choices.
The characters are broken up into two different classes, Gadget Characters and Power Characters.
The arenas feature interactive environments allowing players to use various objects against their opponents. These objects can be used differently depending on the character being used. For example, while a Power Character such as Superman is able to pick up a car and throw it, a Gadget Character such as Batman will interact with the car in a different way.
