Kakuna(JP) is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a dual-type Bug/Poison Pokémon that made its first appearance in the first generation games Red and Blue.

Pokémon Red and Blue Almost incapable of moving, this Pokémon can only harden its shell to protect itself from predators.
Pokémon Yellow Able to move only slightly. When endangered, it may stick out its stinger and poison its enemy.
Pokémon Stadium Because it is virtually motionless, it may appear dead. Inside, however, a new body is being made.
