|Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball|
Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball is an SNES and Game Boy video game whose star athlete is, as the name implies, Ken Griffey, Jr., a baseball player for the Seattle Mariners. While it does include real life teams and their stadiums, it doesn't include names of real players, rather the names are usually based on famous people.
As aforementioned, all of the U.S. baseball teams are featured in this game, though the real players' names aren't. Each teams has fictional names based on a certain theme. For instance, the Cleveland Indians have famous actresses and glamour girls on their team while the Seattle Mariners use Nintendo of America employees' names besides Ken Griffey.
- To play as Ken Griffey, Jr. in the Home Run Derby, press and hold down the R button while selecting a character in the aforementioned mode.
- To view the credits, press B, A, Down, B, Up, B, B, and A at the title screen.
The game was scaled down tremendously to work on the Game Boy though it worked similar to the rest of the series. Since it released in 1997, it had the 1996 roster instead. The game occasionally had slowdown too and there was only one stadium to conserve space. The game had Super Game Boy features as well.
The SNES game was a pretty major success, selling over 1.2 million copies.
- The game was featured on the cover of Nintendo Power V59.
