Koopa Paratroopas are a type of Koopa Troopa with wings. They are described as afraid to go anywhere other than the ledge they're on. Which can make it a hassle to get past them on the account that you either have to dodge it or kill it because it won't walk over the ledge and kill itself.
If there are multiple Koopa Paratroopas you can bounce on their head to keep afloat. Though note that if you perform this tactic, the Paratroopa will fall to its death (or to the platform below) just after one bounce.

They made their debut in Super Mario Bros. in World 1-3 and other height levels where they have wings and green ones or red ones have them and they either bounce up and down or they hover up and down or left or right.
Super Mario Bros. 2 The Lost LevelsEdit
They appear once again in this game and acting the same way as before.
Super Mario Bros. 3Edit
They make an appearance in Super Mario Bros. 3 acting the same way as they did in Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario WorldEdit
They appear in Super Mario World and they hover up and down or jump or sometimes come in Mario or Luigi helmets.
Super Mario All StarsEdit
They appear in 3 games in Super Mario All Stars. Super Mario Bros., The Lost Levels, and Super Mario Bros. 3 but somehow move slower.
Yoshi's SafariEdit
They appear in Yoshi's Safari once again and come in machine guns sometimes
Mario Tennis/ Mario GolfEdit
They appear in tennis and golf for the first time as a playable character
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!Edit
Koopa Paratroopa had only one appearance in Mario Kart Double Dash!! They were related to Koopa Troopa. Koopa Paratroopa had discontinued in Mario Kart DS and no longer continued so far.

After two years of absence Paratroopas make a return in New Super Mario Bros. They appear in height levels
