Kosuke Yabuki(JP) is the manager of the Nintendo EPD Production Group No. 9, and the current producer of the Mario Kart series and ARMS.
History[]
Yabuki started working with the company in the EAD department in April 2005[1] as a planner on various projects, until he became the director of Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart 8.
As Hideki Konno went to EPD's smartphone development group, Yabuki replaced him as manager of Production Group No. 9. In this position, he has become the producer of the Mario Kart series, as well as the Nintendo Switch title ARMS.
In 2020, Yabuki was mentioned by Super Smash Bros Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai in the ARMS DLC presentation as a primary reason Min Min was chosen. According to Sakurai, Yabuki personally asked for her inclusion.
