Kritters are crocodile-like creatures that are the main grunts of the Kremling Krew. They appear in pretty much every Donkey Kong-based game, starting with Donkey Kong Country, where they were some of the most common, and easiest enemies to kill. They are found in various colors, most often green, but sometimes purple, blue, or brown. Some of them continuously hop up and down, making them harder to kill. Most of them seems to wear some armor on their shoulders, though this does nothing to protect them.

More recently, they have begun to appear in more Mario-based games, starting with Mario Power Tennis, where they appear on Donkey Kong's court. They are also the main goalkeepers in Super Mario Strikers and Mario Strikers Charged.

King K. Rool looks a lot like an obese Kritter.
