Lawrence Schwedler is a Director of Music & Sound Design Programs at DigiPen Institute of Technology. After working as a composer on various video game companies, he joined Nintendo Software Technology on April 1999, where he worked as audio director and composer for most of their titles along with James Phillipsen; some of his most notorious scores include Metroid Prime Hunters and the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series.

In July 2012, Schwedler left NST and moved to his current position at DigiPen, where he teaches about video game music and sound design.
