Maboshi's Arcade (MaBoShi: The Three Shape Arcade in the PAL regions) is a WiiWare video game developed by Mindware Corp. and published by Nintendo. Its Japanese title translates to Game of Shapes: Ball, Stick, Square. So far it has only been released in Europe, though it is expected to be released in America and Japan soon. The developers of the game are proud of the fact that you are able to download the games onto your Nintendo DS temporarily.
Reception
Edit
Currently it has been very well received among the European press. WiiWare World and Eurogamer gave the game an 8/10 and 9/10, respectively. It proudly has an average of 9/10 on MetaCritics, and according to the developers they are very happy with the reaction, and rightfully so.
Legacy
Edit
In 2010, Mindware and Nintendo worked together once again to create a DSiWare game called Flametail. Flametail is basically an enhanced version of the square game from Maboshi's Arcade. The premise, however, has changed slightly. For example, instead of having no plot whatsoever the player is now tasked with obliterating trash that has littered space. The player is also given missiles that can blast the blocks.
