The Magypsies are characters in Mother 3. They are a group of seven beings, described as "neither human nor beast, neither man nor woman" by Alec that still exhibit stereotypical traits of both genders. They guard the seven Needles keeping the Dark Dragon asleep under the Nowhere Islands, and have knowledge of many PSI abilities (with the notable exception of PK Love, which they aid Claus and Lucas in learning but cannot use it themselves).
When speaking, they frequently add "♥"s to their sentences. They disappear when their Needle is pulled, ending their "millennia-long life."

Etymology[]
The Magypsies were named by Shogo Sakai, who composed the music for Mother 3. They are named for the seven modular scales in music theory.
