Makar
First game:	TLoZ: The Wind Waker

Makar is a character from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the GameCube, and it is his first, and so far only appearance. In the game, he is a playable character, along with Link, Medli, and The King of Red Lions. His species is a Korok, a race of tree's, there leader is the Great Deku Tree.

In the game, he accidently goes into the Forbidden Woods, where Link must then go in and save him uppon the Deku Tree's request. While searching for Makar, Link will go through many different puzzles, and find new items. Finnally, Link will find Makar in a room, where suddenly, Kalle Demos, a huge plant like creature comes up and eats Makar. Link must fight the creature to save Makar.

Later in the game, Makar will become Link's partner, whom you'll be able to control. In the game, Makar can fly, and also produce seeds to make trees grow out of the ground. During this, Makar realizes that he is a Sage, and gives the Master sword more power to defeat Ganondorf.
