Mark Haigh-Hutchinson was a video game designer who died in 2008. Born in England, he assisted in the development of several hit titles such as Paperboy and a few Star Wars titles. He eventually moved to Austin, Texas and joined Retro Studios where he was involved with all three Metroid Prime titles including Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. He died in 2008 from pancreatic cancer. Retro Studios and Nintendo honored him by dedicating Metroid Prime Trilogy, a game compiling all three Metroid Prime games into one Wii disc with several enhancements, to him.
