Marowak is a bipedal Pokémon with a spike on the end of its tail. It has a brown body with a paler brown covering its belly. The skull it wore as a Cubone has now fused with its head, becoming sharper and more formfitting in the process. The eyes are triangular with the iris being the same shade of brown as its body. It constantly wields a large bone as a weapon with a claw on each hand working as a thumb. It also has a large nail on each foot.
The Alolan version of Marowak is black with a gray stomach. It has a black mark on its forehead from rubbing its bone there to start a fire. Its bone is burning with blue fire on both ends. To fight off Grass-type predators, it became a Fire type and became very close with their partners. It is said that this close union led them to develop a sort of sixth sense. Marowak's rarity and fierce appearance led Alolan residents to call it a conjurer and fear it.
