Ikue Otani is a Japanese voice actress perhaps best known for providing the voice of Pikachu in the Pokémon anime and the Super Smash Bros. series video games. Otani is one of Nintendo's most prominent voice actors and providing various Nintendo characters in various franchises.

Aoi Yuki[]

Aoi Yuki is a Japanese actress, voice actress and singer. Yuki provided the voice of Iris in Pokémon the Series: Black and White and Eevee in Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! onwards. Yuki is one of Nintendo's most prominent voice actors and providing various Nintendo characters in various franchises.

Rica Matsumoto[]

Rica Matsumoto is a Japanese actress, voice actress and singer who was born in Yokohama, Japan. She voiced Ash Ketchum in the Pokémon the Series. She also performed various theme songs of the series, most notably Aim to Be a Pokémon Master.

Shin-ichiro Miki[]

Shin-ichiro Miki is a Japanese voice actor who is most notable as James in Pokémon the Series. As well as voicing James, Miki is one of the Japanese voice actors in the anime also appears in the Japanese and English language versions of the series, where he voiced many of the titular creatures such as Misty's Staryu, Brock's Crobat and most notably Charizard and its pre-evolved forms (also reprised in the Super Smash Bros. series). Miki was seen in various anime such as Dragon Ball, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and more.

Inuko Inuyama[]

Inuko Inuyama a Japanese voice actress for the Pokémon anime. Her most famous role is that of Team Rocket's Meowth. She also voiced Ivysaur in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, succeeding the late voice actress Tomoko Kawakami.

Unsho Ishizuka[]

Unsho Ishizuka (May 16, 1951 – August 13, 2018) was a Japanese actor, voice actor, narrator and theatre director from Katsuyama, Fukui. He was known for providing the voice of both the narrator, various Pokémon species and Professor Oak in Pokémon the Series and their movies. On August 17, 2018, it was reported that Ishizuka had died on August 13 due to esophageal cancer. Incineroar, Metagross and Heihachi Mishima in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is being one of his last voice acting roles. After his death, Kenyu Horiuchi took over the role of Professor Oak.

Kenyu Horiuchi is a Japanese voice actor. Horiuchi is notable for Raiden in Metal Gear series and also provided characters in Pokémon the Series after Unsho Ishizuka's death in 2018.

Tomokazu Seki[]

Tomokazu Seki is the Japanese voice actor for Tracey Sketchit. Seki would later provide the voice of Toad in the Japanese dub of The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Daisuke Namikawa[]

Kenta Miyake[]

Kenta Miyake is a Japanese voice actor and narrator. His most notable credit in Nintendo is Giovanni, Cyrus and various Pokémon in Pokémon the Series. Miyake is also the Japanese voice actor for Vector the Crocodile in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise since 2003. Miyake would provide the voice of Bowser in the Japanese dub of The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Rikako Aikawa[]

Tomoko Kawakami[]

Tomoko Kawakami was the Japanese voice actress for Ivysaur in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. She provided various characters in the series until her death in 2011.

Mika Kanai[]

Masahika Ichimura[]

Masachika Ichimura is a Japanese actor and voice actor. He is best known to the anime fans as the voice of Mewtwo in Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Ichimura reprised Mewtwo in Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back-Evolution, the CGI remake of the first movie.

Keiji Fujiwara[]

Keiji Fujiwara (October 5, 1964 – April 12, 2020) was a Japanese actor and voice actor who voiced Mewtwo in the Super Smash Bros. series (Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, replacing Masachika Ichimura). In Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire, Fujiwara voiced Team Magma Leader Maxie and Looker in Pokémon Generations. Fujiwara died on April 12, 2020.

Koichi Yamadera[]

Koichi Yamadera is a Japanese voice actor who is affiliated with Across Entertainment. He is known for his roles as Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop, Beerus from Dragon Ball, and Donald Duck. He appeared in every Pokémon movie to date and also voiced Mew in the Super Smash Bros. series.

Shoko Nakagawa is a Japanese tarento (media personality), actress, voice actress, illustrator, and singer. Nakagawa's roles with Nintendo are largely from the Pokémon franchise. Nakagawa also has voiced characters in every Pokémon the Movie since 2007 (except for Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened and Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution).

James Carter Cathcart[]

James Carter Cathcart, often credited as simply Carter Cathcart, is an American voice actor, pianist, and vocalist who is most notable for the Pokémon franchise characters. He has also been credited under his pseudonyms Billy Beach and Jimmy Zoppi in early seasons and game works. He is the current voice actor of James, Meowth, Professor Oak and various Pokémon species and characters since the ninth season of the Pokémon anime. He also voiced Gary Oak since the anime's debut of the English dub in 1998.

Following the retirement of Kayzie Rogers at the start of Pokémon the Series: Sun and Moon, he is the longest-tenured voice actor in the English dub. He is the only English voice actor in the series to work on the dub of every season of the anime until the 25th. In 2023, Cathcart retired from voice acting due to cancer.

Kayzie Rogers[]

Kayzie Rogers is an American voice actress who voiced various characters in the Pokémon series. She remained one of the longest running voice actors for the English dub next to Carter Cathcart (second longest after retirement). She is also the only English voice actor or actress to voice a role in every Pokémon movie prior to the twentieth movie.

In 2017, Rogers opted to retire from the anime, with her main role of Wobbuffet being handed over to Erica Schroeder. The last time she voiced a character in the anime was during Alola to New Adventure!, where she played Mimey, but a clip of her voice was used for Mimey in the Who's That Pokémon? segment of Alolan Open House!.

Dan Green[]

Mike Pollock[]

Mike Pollock, sometimes credited as Herb Lawrence, is an American voice actor who has done voice work for the English dub of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He has worked on many voice overs of English-dubbed anime by 4Kids Entertainment. He is most notable for being the voice of Doctor Eggman in several media since Sonic X. Outside the Sonic series, he had roles from the Pokémon series, narrating the series in seasons 6-8. After Parsons returned as the series' narrator, Pollock continued to work for the anime.
