Maurice Chausson is the self proclaimed Director General of the NLA government. He is rather arrogant, but even though he seems corrupt, he believes in finding a bright future for mankind.
History
Back on Earth, Maurice was the American defense minister, and later became a presidential aide. It is said that he lost his only son when Earth was destroyed.
