The Metroid Queen is the final stage that a single Metroid once went through. It is a large and powerful type of Metroid. This can be seen by the fact that it would take 180 successful missile shots to finally kill it. While it is able to produce more Metroids, it isn't the only way, seeing that the Space Pirates too have found ways to make more of them.
