Mew resembles a fetus with its small limbs and pink small body. It also looks like a cat especially its legs. It has a very long tail.
Mew has a rather playful behaviour but mysterious, which is shown in Pokémon Movies.
Main Pokémon games
Mew was an extremely rare Pokémon in its original games Pokémon Red and Blue. It could only be obtained through glitches in the game's programming. Mew was originally a joke between the developers at Game Freak, and was not meant to be in the final copy of the game. Soon, Mew was found by gamers and the rumors began. Nintendo then made an exclusive event for Pokémon Yellow in which you could capture Mew.
Mew is said to possess the genetic composition of all Pokémon. It is capable of making itself invisible at will, so it entirely avoids notice even if it approaches people.
Mew is predominantly available through events but, there are methods to get it with special events.
In the original games, Mew can be obtained through an extension of the Trainer-Fly glitch. It requiring encountering the Route 8 Gambler or the Jr. Trainer on Route 24 to start the glitch and then using the Route 25 Youngster or the first Swimmer in Cerulean Gym to trigger Mew. Go back to that first trainer and after closing the start menu, a level 7 Mew will appear.
Another method is My Pokémon Ranch where the player deposits 999 Pokémon into the ranch, leveling it to the required amount for Hayley to offer a trade needing any egg for a Mew.
A third method requiring cheats is the Faraway Island event via the Old Sea Map in Pokémon Emerald. The only way to legitimately obtain a Shiny Mew is via the Old Sea Map on a Japanese copy.
One of the many theories surrounding Mew claims that Ditto is a failed attempt at creating a Mew. Both Pokemon weigh 8.8. pounds. They can both learn any move in the game. Also both Pokemon's base stats are equal in every category.
