Minccino is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a Normal type Pokémon that made its first appearance in the fifth Pokémon generation in the Black and White games.

Physiology and Behaviour

Minccino is a light-gray rodent Pokémon. It has a big round head with large brown eyes and even larger ears. Furry tufts protrudes from its body at several places, it has one on the forehead and another one just below the head. The pink ear insides are also covered by tufts. Minccino has a long tail that is equally furry. The tips of the ears and tail are, unlike the rest of the body, white.

Minccino is known for having an obsession with keeping things clean. To clean its surroundings, Minccino often uses its broom like tail to sweep up its habitat. The tail is also used for greeting other Minccinos, whenever a meeting occurs they brush each other in a friendly manner. As a result of its heavy use of the tail, Minccino's signature move is Tail Slap, which is a move that hits a consecutive amount of times at its opponents using its tail.

Minccinos seems to have their natural habitat in the grass around the Unova region. Based on its obsession with cleaning it is possible that it prospers from the rather traffic-heavy environment. It does seem to do well in most climates as it appears equally frequently during all seasons and has been seen to live in permanently cold places.

Appearances

Main Pokémon games

Minccino made its first appearance in Pokémon Black and White. It is a rather common encounter on the various routes of the Unova region.

A Minccino is owned by Professor Juniper, and it is used in a demonstrative battle for the player early in the game.

Minccino makes its 3D debut in the 3DS shop game PokéDex 3DS. Minccino is also set to appear in the Pokémon Rumble sequel for the 3DS.

In the anime

A male Minccino makes its debut in the thirteenth episode (Minccino - Neat and Tidy!) of the Black and White saga for the Pokémon anime. This Minccino begins a chase from Ash and his friends after it had taken away Ash's dirty badge case in order to clean it. Eventually, he came to battle most of Ash's Pokémon and managed to defeat all of them except for Pikachu. After being weakened by Pikachu, Minccino was accidentally caught by the character Belle as he accidently hit the switch of her dirty Pokéball when he was attempting to clean it.
