The Mirror Shield refers to two objects in several Nintendo games. One is the item from The Legend of Zelda series, while the other refers to a mystical item Pit must obtain in Kid Icarus

The mirror shield is one of Link's most popular items. This shield reflects magic attacks and many other forms of damage. This item is in almost all The Legend of Zelda video games.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Mirror Shield is an item that Pit will use to reflect attacks. For example, if Mario uses his Fireball against Pit, he'll be able to reflect it by bringing out the shield, where it'll then head back towards Mario, possibly damaging him.
