The Modern Hylian script is a language found in the GameCube video game The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It is one of the many languages found in the popular series of video games. It was apparently created by a designer at Nintendo, though his name is unknown. The language is based upon the Japanese katakana, though the letterforms are based around those found in the old Hylian script.

It is unknown when the language was composed in the Zelda universe. It is presumed that it occurred after the events of the great flood which took place after the events in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
