Mr. Resetti is a character in the Animal Crossing series. He appears when you press restart or turn off the game without saving (in other words, "resetting" the game). He is known for being extremely annoying, going on and on about the importance of saving, and usually ends the conversation with a philosophical statement, like "Wash your hands after using the bathroom, ya little piggy!" It is because of these humorous lines that he has gained some popularity among other Animal Crossing characters. Sometimes you could see him in the coffee shop in town. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, he plays the same role as he did before. His attitude will get progressively worse the more you restart. After resetting a large number of times, he will have you do something for him, usually typing something down.

Mr. Resseti's first name is known to be "Sonny". Mr. Resetti also has a brother named Don Resetti. He's the polar opposite of Mr. Resetti, being more calm and relaxed. Mr. Resetti also appears in the Animal Crossing Movie (Dōbutsu no Mori).

Mr. Resseti is an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He nags the players about not resetting, or general information about the game itself. He acts as a distraction, as his speech bubble takes up most of the screen.
