The NES Advantage was a controller for the NES that allowed the gamer to use a joystick instead of a D-pad.

While the Advantage was designed after the NES controller, it added various features for a more challenging experience. It featured two "turbo" knobs along with a "slow" button and the option to play with one or two players.

Before being transported into the Nintendo world, Captain N is seen using an NES Advantage. In the movie Ghostbusters II, the Ghostbusters crew use an NES Advantage to control the Statue of Liberty. A third-party attachment for the Wii Remote resembling an arcade joystick was released for Virtual Console games.
