NES Classics: The Legend of Zelda is a direct port of the original The Legend of Zelda. It was released on the Game Boy Advance along with a multitude of other titles, and is among the best. However, the port was criticized primarily because of its steep price of US$20, whereas now people can purchase the game on the Wii's Virtual Console for a simple $5, or 500 Wii Points.
Because it was a direct emulation, virtually nothing was changed, save for the intro which retained the corrections from The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition.
[edit] Reception
The game was rather well received - much more so than the others released in this series. With a total of 26 reviews on Game Rankings, it currently has an average grade of 79%, mostly due to its steep price as aforementioned. Nevertheless, most critics claimed that of all the games, this is the one that is worth the price.
