NES Play Action Football is an NES American football title released exclusively in North America in 1990 by Nintendo IRD (defunct). The game would later be ported to the Game Boy and much later in 2007 for the Wii's Virtual Console. The Play Action Football series received a sequel on the SNES titled Super Play Action Football.
[edit] Gameplay
In the game the player chose from eight licensed teams from around the country and also contained players that were playing for the teams at the time. Because of the NES' graphical limitations, it was impossible to tell which player was which (the players' jerseys didn't have numbers on them).
