NHL Hitz 2003, also known as NHL Hitz 20-03, is a sports game (focused on ice hockey) for the GameCube. It is licensed by the National Hockey League and its Player's Association.

Gameplay

The game has a 3-vs-3 feature in-game. It has NHL rules but they are much more relaxed, encouraging hitting and fighting. It also has cartoony animated effects, such as fire surrounding a player who has a lot of goals.

The game offers a full season mode and international and All-Star teams alongside the NHL teams.

The game also contains hit music from Rob Zombie, Powerman 5000, Incubus, and many more.

As in the real-world sport of hockey, the object is to score more goals than the opposing team to win the game.

Teams

All NHL teams from that year appear in the game, as well as international teams represented by countries.

Box art

The box art for the game portrays Chris Pronger of the St. Louis Blues.
