We were promised details on Dead Rising for Wii shortly, though I didn't expect us to get them this quickly! You don't see me complaining, however, as there is certainly some tidbits of info that will surely get you excited for the game. I'll post all of the information down below.

  • For one, the game has a name change - Dead Rising: Zombie Sacrafice. Does that make any since to anyone? No? I didn't think so... UPDATE: It seems like Capcom listened to me, as within a couple days they've already changed the name to Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop... well you've got me sold!
  • The game's camera will be placed in a way similar to Resident Evil 4! Huzzah! Well, maybe - I enjoyed RE4 though I don't know if this will work for Dead Rising as I've never played it before.
  • The game's producer explains to Famitsu that they're reworking the game to appeal more to the casual crowd... eh, do they know which game they're working on?
  • They chose to make the game after the success of the Resident Evil 4 Wii port.
  • You will no longer be able to take pictures as you were in Dead Rising because of the new camera system. As aforementioned, I've never played the game but from what I know the camera taking aspect was appreciated, so it's too bad they got rid of it.
  • New weapons and enemies will be present.
  • You point with the Wii remote and can execute batting attacks by shaking.
  • To switch out items you use the directional pad of the Wii remote as you do in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (the Wii version of course).
