Konami went all out this week and announced quite a bit of titles, most notable of which is the already known about Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia for the Nintendo DS. It's also been hinted that a Castlevania for the Wii is in development, though as one might expect announcing two games in the wildly popular series in one week may bee too much for fans of the series, myself included, to handle. Thankfully, the game is done in complete 2D, handpainted glory, and the Wii version is rumored to stay that way as well. PS3 and 360 fans, however, can look forward to a 3D game, if the rumors are indeed true!

Next is another game we've already known about - Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked!, for the Wii. The first three games have been released for the DS and have recieved, erm, not so fantastic grades from critics. The game will be in full, "colorful" 3D environments and will apparently make use of all the Wii's functions. According to Konami, the game will include over 40 unique mini-games.

Next Konami announced the second Wii installment of their ultra popular dancing franchise DanceDanceRevolution titled DanceDanceRevolution Hottest Party 2, the first of which was also released on the console. Three musical groups have already been announced for the game, including Maroon 5, Michael Jackson and Rihanna. According to the press release, the game will include over 50 unique environments.

Konami also announced another music video game for both Wii and Nintendo DS, among the other consoles out on the market right now. According to the press release, the game will "re-define the rhythm genre". Apparently the game will give players the chance to "rock out" on the drums, lead guitar or bass. While the PS3 and 360 versions will include a drum peripheral, the Wii version will allow players to use the Wii remote and Nunchuk to play without the need of the drums, while the DS will obviously use the stylus.

Konami also listed a full lineup of their games for Gamers' Night. The following are the ones for Nintendo consoles.

  • Critter Round-Up - WiiWare
  • Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia - Nintendo DS
  • DanceDanceRevolution Hottest Party 2 - Wii
  • Deca Sports - Wii
  • Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! - Wii
  • Rock Revolution - Wii, Nintendo DS
  • New International Track and Field - Nintendo DS
