Daisy first appeared in Super Mario Land where she was the damsel in distress. She was kidnapped by Tatanga and would later be rescued by Mario. She is the ruler of Sarassaland and later appeared in Mario spinoffs.

King Dedede is the rival of kirby and the self-proclaimed ruler of Dream Land. He was the main antagonist of the main game before being defeated by Kirby and proclaiming him as his rival. Dedede often tries to protect his kingdom from outside threat, which leads him to being possessed by some entity and forced to face Kirby in battle. When Dedede is not under the control of the main antagonist, he usually side with Kirby to defeat any threat to Dream Land's peace.

Each Pokémon is categorized into a multitude of traits, including their type, color, weight, height, and so forth. Pokémon become stronger by battling other Pokémon and leveling up, sort of like how a character in a traditional RPG can change into a more powerful level. Most Pokémon can turn into new forms under special conditions, such as reaching a certain level or using a specific item on them, a process known as evolution.
Team Rocket is the villainous team in pursuit of evil and the exploitation of Pokémon based on Kanto and Johto. Their leader is Giovanni, who is also the Viridian City Gym Leader who specializes on Ground-types. A trio of Team Rocket field agents, Jessie, James, and a talking Meowth, followed Ash everywhere on his journey in order to steal Pikachu and other Pokémon that humiliated them.
Professor Samuel Oak is a Pokémon Professor who lives and works at his research lab in Pallet Town of the Kanto region. He concentrates on Pokémon and human relationships as a profession.
