The Omega Pirate can be considered unarguably one of the most, if not the most powerful Space Pirate in the entire Metroid series of video games. It only appeared in Metroid Prime, where it was eventually thwarted by Samus Aran.
It gains much of its power through the massive amount of Phazon that has been pumped into its system. True to its name, it was created by a Space Pirate team to be the most powerful of Space Pirates, and thus is equipped with some of the most efficient weapons that the pirates have to offer, including powerful cannons and generators, and, its most notable feature, the ability to heal itself thanks to the phazon that has been fused with its body.
While traversing through the Phazon Mines in Metroid Prime, she happens to awaken the pirate, who can be killed by missiles, though not before destroying its heavy armor. Once this happens, the Omega Pirate rushes towards some phazon which allows it to recover, and at this moment can only be visible through the X-Ray Visor that Samus had.
