Pidgey(JP) is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon that made its first appearance in the first generation games Red and Blue. It evolves in the Pidgeotto starting at level 18.

Physiology and Behavior

Pidgey is a small brown bird with a cream-colored chest and tip of its wings and eyebrows. It has a small pink beak and pink feet. White claws extend from its toes. It has a short brown tail and a messy head.

Pidgey are very common in the first few entries in the series. Pidgey was first introduced in Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue.

In the anime

Pidgey was seen in the first episode (I choose you) by Ash Ketchum, but he failed to capture it. Later on he saw a Pidgeotto, Pidgey's evolved form and caught that. It has been seen as a mail carrier in the episode (Carry On ). lt's also in the episode Fly Me to the Moon where a Pidgey dreams to go to the upper atmosphere.
