PikminOrder

Olimar performing Pikmin Order.

Pikmin Order is a move that Pikmin and Olimar can perform in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. The move is Olimar's down B move and is used to gather Pikmin who have separated from you or are attacking another opponent. This move can also be used to shift to a new Pikmin in the front line. The move is based on the standard B move from the Pikmin series when Olimar blew his whistle to gather them all together, just as he does in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Usage[]

The move can be used to recall Pikmin from pretty much every situation. If they are getting killed or too far off the screen, they cannot be rescued. However, this can save them from taking too much damage.

It is also used to get rid of all knock back for a very short time. It is so good that if you used it at the right time you can block Marth's Critical Hit.

Changes in later iterations[]

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U[]

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U the move returns as Olimar's down special again. It works identically as in Brawl besides the fact that Olimar loses frames of super armor.

Origin[]

Olimar could call Pikmin using the whistle in his helmet. He could call them while they are carrying, harvesting, etc. Using the whistle is the only way to save drowning Pikmin, burning Pikmin, and Pikmin suffering from poison. It was more important in the Pikmin Series, being one of Olimar's most used move, beside plucking and throwing Pikmin.

Customizations[]

There are two alternate forms of this move though both call back the Pikmin.

  • Order Tackle - This makes any recalled Pikmin do a small attack to any players hit along the way including the ones they were attacking. This takes longer than the default move so it leaves the player vulnerable
  • Dizzy Whistle - This turns the move into a reversing move in which players hit by this turn around. It takes longer though so the player is vulnerable at that time
