Pokémon Super Contests are a return of the Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire Pokémon Contests. The Super Contests appear in the Nintendo DS video game Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, where the player competes in three different contests that determine whether you win the contests or not. The first competition is a visual contest, followed by a dance and then finally performance contest. The following are descriptions of each contest.

Visual Contest

Visual contest.

In this competition, you dress up your Pokémon with different clothes via the touch screen. Once you are finished dressing them up, you show them to the crowd.

Dance Contest

In this contest your Pokémon is either the lead singer or a singer in the back depending on how well you did in the previous contest. You'll be judged on how well your rhythm to the music is. To control this, you'll press the four buttons on the touch screen.

Performance Contest

In this contest, your Pokémon will have to use their attacks for the judge and try to get more appeal from the judges. The Pokémon with the most appeal after a total of five rounds wins this match, thus winning the Pokémon Super Contest. Fans of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire will notice a similarity between the Super Contest in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and the contest in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
