PopCap is an American video game developer and publisher. The organization was founded in 2000 by John Vechey, Brian Fiete and Jason Kapalka.
In 2011, Electronic Arts paid US$650 million for a 100% acquisition of PopCap, a record for a video game developer. As a result, PopCap is now a subsidiary of Electronic Arts.
PopCap continued to make other games until 2009 as a subsidiary of Electronic Arts.
