Pump Man is a Robot Master who was recruited by Dr. Wily, bearing the serial number DWN-074. He was first seen in Mega Man 10 as one of the game's Eight Robot Masters.

Prior to his Roboenza infection, Pump Man cleaned sewers. Water is taken into the tube within Pump Man's right arm, and a system inside him cleanses the water, which is then ejected from his body. According to his biographies, Pump Man is described as a "neat freak".

Pump Man wields the Water Shield, which causes globules of water to circle his body. In order to do so, he needs to draw water inside his body.

Stage[]

Pump Man makes his lair in the sewers he cleaned. Rock can withstand the polluted water due to his inorganic body, but he also needs to be careful due to a new Mettaur-like slug enemy that can shoot sticky globules, and if he touches a sticky globule, Rock will slow down.

Strategy[]

Pump Man draws water in his body and forms a shield from it. He will then jump around his battlefield. No horizontal movement means Pump Man will fire the globules that surround his body. Rock can use the Thunder Wool to get an edge, as the thunderbolt can destroy the water globules Pump Man uses for his shield. When he is defeated, Pump Man surrenders the Water Shield power.

Trivia[]

  • Pump Man has white shoulders and yellow arms in his artwork, but the game colors them as blue and light blue, respectively, perhaps due to colour limitations. The yellow ring that surrounds the chest on Pump Man's cannon and the red belt on his waist are also omitted in the game.
  • Bubble Man had "Pump Man" for his name.
