Rayman Legends is an upcoming game in the Rayman series for the Wii U. It is a sequel to 2011's Rayman Origins. The game was revealed on April 27th, 2012 when a trailer leaked to a French gaming website. The trailer showed off an improved render engine, new playable characters, new local and online mutliplayer modes, social gaming attributes, and some of the different ways the game will take advantage of the features the Wii U controller has to offer including it's touchscreen and NFC capabilities. The trailer showed that by placing various figures on the controller's touchscreen, different effects would take place in game. For example placing a heart-shaped figure on the screen results in hearts falling from the sky in game. It also demonstrated a Rabbid figure unlocking a Rabbid filled level. The trailer ended by showing a figure of an Assassin's Creed protagonist, suggesting there will be some kind of content from that series in the game.^[1] However, Ubisoft later acknowledged the leak and stressed "This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features."^[2]
