For the recurring Castlevania character/boss, see Death.
For the Chrono Trigger enemy, see Reaper (Chrono).

The Reaper is a recurring enemy in the Kid Icarus series. It's notable for being one of the more common enemies and one of the most difficult enemies to beat. The Reaper is usually accompanied by Reapettes, which fly around attempting to kill Pit.

Games[]

Kid Icarus[]

The Reaper's first appearance was in Kid Icarus, where he is one of the most frequent enemies in the game. The Reaper walks back and forth in a set path, occasionally looking behind him as he walks. If he spots Pit, he will begin to scream and shriek, calling down 4 Reapettes to come and kill Pit. It will also chase down Pit to the nearest possible spot. After a few seconds, the Reaper will calm down and return to it's patrol, even if the Reapettes are still on-screen. The Reaper is also known for having a huge amount of endurance than most enemies, making it more difficult to defeat.

Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters[]

The Reaper and the Reapettes return in the Game Boy sequel, Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, where they serve the same purpose they did in the original game.

Kid Icarus: Uprising[]

The Reaper and the Reapettes return in the new upcoming, long-awaited sequel, Kid Icarus: Uprising. One Reaper even transforms into a Great Reaper and is one of the first bosses Pit fights in the game.
