Ryuji Kobayashi is a graphic designer who works at Nintendo, mostly on the Zelda and Animal Crossing series; in the latter, he was the design director of Wild World and City Folk, until Koji Takahashi took his position in New Leaf.
In the Zelda series, he designed enemies for Wind Waker and later was the lead artist of Skyward Sword, where he led the biggest team of artists to work in a Nintendo game at the time and also designed the new Link. Later, he became the senior lead artist on the animation of Breath of the Wild.
He also helped shaping the graphical style of the Wii games working in Wii Sports and Wii Play as the lead 3D artist.
