Shigefumi Hino is a graphic designer and a planner at Nintendo, mostly known as the designer of Yoshi and one of the main directors of the Pikmin series.

Hino joined the company in 1988 and initially worked on an unreleased sequel to Famicom Grand Prix: F-1 Race, but the first project he worked on which was released was Super Mario World, where he worked on the design of the characters and the visuals.

At the request of Shigeru Miyamoto, he eventually switched to planning and worked on Yoshi's Island, where he decided on the main concepts of the game and its characteristic hand-drawn visual style.

After working on some other titles, he became the co-director of Pikmin and Pikmin 2 along Masamichi Abe, where he worked mostly on the visual atmosphere and the design. He also helped create the demo version of New Super Mario Bros. at a previous E3, and later also worked on other projects like Pikmin 3 and Super Mario Maker.
