Shinobu Amayake is a composer. She originally joined Nintendo R&D2 in 1990 and worked on various soundtracks, such as Wario's Woods and Stunt Race FX. She became freelance in 1994.
In 2000, she joined Yamaha, where she made most of the ringtones of the NEC and Sharp mobiles among other things. In 2006, after leaving Yamaha, she established AMK Music, her own music production company, which she still presides to this day.
Amayake has also arranged several Nintendo songs for piano books, mostly of the Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon franchises. In 2023, Amayake composed the soundtrack for Omega 6: The Video Game, developed by former Nintendo colleague Takaya Imamura.
