Gameplay
In the game there are only three party members. The battles take place in real time, and have been compared to the SNES classic video game Secret of Mana. The player will make use of all four face buttons on the Nintendo DS, each one attributed to an action such as attacking with a sword or using magic.

Reception & Legacy
The game received a 32 (8/8/8/8) out of 40 from Famitsu. In its first week, it sold 50,844 copies according to Media Create. By the end of 2008, it sold 107,127.
In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, the song Attack played on Coliseum originates from here.
