Star Fox Guard is a spin-off to the Star Fox series that is included with Star Fox Zero. It plays like a tower defense game though the player controls the fire manually.

Plot

Slippy is hired by his uncle, Grippy, to help him defend these mineral supplies from an onslaught of robots

Gameplay

The player sees all 12 cameras on the TV but the game pad only shows one screen but, using the analog sticks to aim the camera, robots can be fired at. Robots head towards the center to steal minerals

Development

The game was originally revealed at E3 2014 as Project Guard. It was simpler with only R.O.B.-like enemies, but there were signs of it being a Star Fox game with the symbol of the team being on the cameras.

The game was later addressed with the announcement of Star Fox Zero in that PlatinumGames were also working on the titles
