Stunt Race FX is a video game for the SNES that was released in 1994. It was published and developed by Nintendo. It was one of the first games that used the Super FX Chip.
Modes
- Speed Trax
Main mode, successfully winning the first class unlocks Free Trax.
- Stunt Trax
Four tracks in which you collect stars to boost your time; complete all four to unlock 'Radio Control'.
- Battle Trax
Two player mode with four different tracks. (If you leave Player 2's controller alone for 5 seconds at the start of a race, the CPU will take over.)
- Free Trax
No opponents; used to practice and beat your records. (Can only play the tracks from Classes you have beaten)
- Test Run
Available when you start Stunt Race FX for the first time; not available after Free Trax is unlocked. (If you enter the "Clear All Records" code [Up, Left, Down, Right, X, Y, B, A] at the title screen, you can regain access to this mode; However, you will lose all your progress)

- Coupe
Body: Medium, Acceleration: Medium, Max Speed: 120MPH (190 km/h)
- F-Type
Body: Weak, Acceleration: Slow, Max Speed: 140MPH (220 km/h)
- 4WD
Body: Strong, Acceleration: Fast, Max Speed: 100MPH (160 km/h)
- 2WD
Body: Medium, Acceleration: Fast, Max Speed: 140MPH (220 km/h) (Unlocked by completing a lap of a Bonus stage; Can only be used in Free Trax unless you complete the Master class.)
- Truck
Body: Invincible, Acceleration: V-Slow, Max Speed: Approx. 100MPH (160 km/h) (Used only in Bonus stages.)
Cameo appearances
- The billboards in-game feature Mario, Kirby, and Fox McCloud.
- On the 'Night Cruise' and 'Sky Ramp' courses, you will be able to see Arwings from the Star Fox series fly past.
Trivia
- The game was featured on the cover of Nintendo Power V63.
