Tails Adventure is a Sega Game Gear game originally released in 1995 but later appeared as a minigame in Sonic Adventure DX and was also ported to the Nintendo 3DS eShop in 2013. It is a spin-off of the Sonic the Hedgehog series staring Sonic's sidekick Tails.

Plot

The game's plot varies slightly between its English and Japanese releases.

English version

A army of birds has attacks the island that Tails is resting on. And tails is one his own one this one.

Japanese version

In the southern seas, there exists a tiny island that is not found on any map, Cocoa Island. A beautiful little paradise that rests atop a coral reef. It is said that the legendary Chaos Emeralds rest here

During a sunny afternoon on Cocoa Island, Tails was taking a nap just outside his research lab. But, his slumber is interrupted by a huge explosion, and soon the whole place is ablaze. A frantic Flicky reports the bad news to a confused Tails: the imperial Battle Kukku Army has invaded Cocoa Island. The dictator Great Battle Kukku 15th has discovered the Chaos Emeralds on the island, and intends to use them to conquer the entire world. And Tails is the only one who can put a stop to the imperial army's plot.

Gameplay

The player plays as as Tails, who flies and uses a variety of weapons. It emphases puzzle based platforming, and focuses one item collecting. Once you get the item you get go to different pathways.
