The Legend of Zelda: The Mystical Seed of Courage was going to be the third installment of the Oracle series, but it was canceled because the password system would be too difficult. It was going to be for the Game Boy Color. It was going to be published by Nintendo and was being developed by Capcom. The game would have starred Farore the oracle and was set to be centered around time travel and puzzles. After the cancellation in 2000, it became The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages.

No screenshots of the game are known to exist, only the logo and confirmed name which were released just before the cancellation.
