The Time Egg is the 1st event in Chrono Trigger. This is where the other party members bring the deceased Crono back to life.

Happenings[]

After defeating Dalton and recovering Epoch in 12,000 B.C., the party lands on Terra Continent and heads to the North Cape where a stranger was said to have been looking for them. The stranger turns out to be Magus.

Magus reveals that in this era, Lavos' power opened up portals and sent him (the young Janus) and the three Gurus through time. Magus ended up in the Middle Ages where he raised an army of monsters.

Magus then agrees to join the party in an attempt to finally defeat Lavos once and for all. As they board the Epoch together, the Black Omen suddenly appears in the sky.

The party travels to The End of Time to ask the old man for advice, and he gives them the "Chrono Trigger", a magical egg with the power to bring the dead back to life. He says to find Belthasar because he knows how to use it.

So the team then travels to Keeper's Dome in 2300 A.D. where Belthasar tells them a clone of the deceased is needed to bring them back. The magician Norstein Bekkler is able to create clones.

Now in search of a Crono Clone, the team travels to the Millennial Fair to meet with Bekkler. He magically creates a doll clone and makes in appear at Crono's house. So the party goes to his house, picks up the clone and heads back to 2300 A.D.

Belthasar tells them the only way to bring Crono back is by taking those items to the top of Death Peak. Heading for Death Peak, they battle their way to the top where the magic transports them to the exact moment Crono was killed. They were in a "time freeze". They then exchange Crono out for the clone and are transported back to the summit of Death Peak with Crono, who suddenly stirs to life. They then return to the End of Time victorious and with Crono again part of the team.
