Toad Town is the capital of the Mushroom Kingdom, which is run by Princess Peach. Though it is capital, it is also a plaza for the residents and oncoming tourists whom visit the Mushroom Kingdom. There are a ton of shops to visit, and all of your local needs, including a Train. Right above Toad Town, is Princess Peach's Castle, which is the house of Princess Peach.
