Toadette CT

In the beginning of Episode 1, Toadette is treasure hunting with Captain Toad when Wingo comes and steals the Power Star the pair of Toads had just retrieved. Captain Toad gets knocked over, and Toadette tries to grab it but can not get it out of Wingo's claws. Wingo then flies away, with Toadette still hanging on to the Power Star. Captain Toad then spends almost the entirety of Episode 1 adventuring to Wingo's Watchtower where he then defeats Wingo and saves Toadette, along with the Power Star. The two then jump in a minecart as credits roll.

Episode 2 starts out in a very similar way to Episode 1, however the rolls are switched and Captain Toad is the one Wingo flies off with. Toadette is then played for the entire episode, as she goes to find Captain Toad first at Pryopuff Peak and then the Battle Tower. Once Captain Toad is saved, Wingo appears and takes Toadette and the Power Star yet again.

In the second-to-last level, Toadette retrieves a Power Star, only for Wingo to once again steal Toadette and the Power Star. Captain Toad then has to defeat Wingo again in the last level so as to save Toadette. The two once again ride a minecart as the credits roll. At the end of the credits, Captain Toad sees a Green Power Star fall from the sky, and sets off to take it. Toadette, however, stays in the minecart, confused. This is all a reference to Super Mario 3D World, in which Captain Toad helps the player find Green Power Stars, although Toadette is nowhere to be found in that game.

In the Wii U-exclusive Bonus Episode, Toadette is played during the Mummy-Me chase levels. She also appears at the end of the Mummy-Me Maze Forever level so as to cheer Captain Toad on.

In the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS-exclusive Special Episode, Toadette hunts for Shiny Crowns and the Super Crown along with Captain Toad. Unlike the other chapters, Toadette can only be played in multiplayer. After the papercraft King Boo fight, the Kameks kidnap Toadette so as to stop her from creating any more Papercrafts. Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario must then save her in order to move on in the area.

When Toadette, the player can press up on the D-pad to make Toadette hold up a Power Star and look at the screen. Losing a life as Toadette will play the sound that plays when you lose a life in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, and finishing a course will play the sound that plays when you get the final Power Star after defeating Wingo for the final time.
